Welcome to leaking thoughts music!
The site has been up-dated somewhat, so have a look
around. We're looking into the dotcom thing, which will help us give exposure to more bands. If you're a web
designer, and keen to get involved in the restructuring of our site, please get in touch. We can't pay ya, but we can supply
beer...

2006-07-05:
Well hello! Indeed, long time no comments! But as usual there's been loads going on...
Dave has taken a rather peculiar route in an attempt to get a feel for what unsigned
bands go through here in London, and has joined a band called The Artisan Clock as their
new drummer.
And funny enough, he can play (well, so we're told!)...
So they play their first gig with Dave this Saturday by opening for the Feeling Gloomy party (see
flyer below) at the Bar Academy (Islington Academy) in Angel. Doors open at 20h30, and the band starts at 20h45. It's only
a fiver to get in, so come on over and laugh at Dave...
A big congrats go out to the deBretts, who have just been on the telly for the Road
to V Festival competition, and they've done really well so far. They've done exceptionally well to get this
far, and leaking thoughts is proud to be associated with them, and wish them all the best. Check out http://www.channel4.com/music/festivals/roadtov/roadtov.html for more info...
We have also created a myspace account and want to add YOU! If you have have a myspace
page get in touch and add us. This is a superb way of keeping in touch, and updated.

2006-06-13:
Hey Hey! We now own a dotcom, and, having only recently managed to afford to upgrade the pc, are working slowly at the
design of the new site.
Yes, I said slowly! Remember, I barely knew anything about computers when I came over here, and it took a while for me
to learn how to build this site. AND IT'S ALL TEMPLATES!!! So now I'm trying to figure out the whole HTML
thing, which I'm kinda getting the hang of. But I have been going through logo images and designs with a friend back in south
Africa ( www.andrewdonaldson.com), and some wicked shit's happening (see image above)!
So yeah, as usual work is manic, with 7 festivals in this month alone, nevermind all the other gigs and events happening
around and in the city. But don't let our lack of work on the site stop you from checking out unsigned bands; Get out there
and support your local musicians!
2006-04-09:
Wow, it's been a while!
So much has happened in the last four months. Ron has been studying furiously, working himself stupid and finding
ways to extend his visa whilst managing to maintain a long term relationship. Dave worked himself into the ground
over the festive season, had various guests lodging at his pad, found a full-time job, settled in, and yet still has no life
worth speaking of.
We haven't done much this year, mostly because we don't have space to add more bands to the site! We don't want
to remove any of the current lads and ladies, so we've been checking out the dotcom thing, which may take a while.
We can tell you that we've seen The deBretts live though! We can certainly recommend
you have a peek next time they're playing near you. They also won the XFM Radio "Best New Band" competition
last month, check out their website: www.thedebretts.com.
We're still on the look out for South African bands based in London, so if you're in
one, or know of one, please mail us...
2005-12-21:
So it's the festive season and there's plenty to celebrate!
First off, check out THE DEBRETTS on our band section. What a wicked group!
We have one of their tracks in our gallery section, be sure to check it out.
Secondly: THE BAD ROBOTS. What can I say? I finally got to see them live last night
and I tell you, what an amazing band! Not only do they have a great sound, but they also have a stage presence. You can check
them out in our band section and hear one of their numbers at our gallery page.
Also, there's more from THREE CHORD THEORY, THE DEPTHS
and HALFPRICE (who've just completed a highly successful tour of the UK and Europe). I think
you all already know where to find more on all of the above!
Oh yeah, for all you budding bands out there, be sure to check out a site called garageband.com - it's a brilliant site
and it's free to join. You can upload your tunes and have them rated by thousands of people. Also, there are plenty of big
name producers who surf the site so it could become a hot spot to be "found"...
There's loads more to come, so keep an eye on this site...
HALFPRICE - 'BANNED FROM SOUTH AFRICA' tour
South African punk rockers HALFPRICE are currently touring the UK and Europe on their
"BANNED FROM SOUTH AFRICA" tour and will be performing at THE STANDARD
(Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow, E17) in London on DECEMBER 1.
These guys are highly entertaining, and have been banned from various venues through out South Africa! Go see their
show to find out why...
To find out more, check out our bands and gallery page...
Coming soon: THE DEBRETTS...
2005-11-24:
So as you can see, things are going slowly with the site. Besides being splendidly busy, we're also experiencing
technical hitches with our computers! Indeed, we're still managing to plod on.
It is with great sadness that HOOCHICOO have disbanded. Due to various reasons, the band have decided to call it quits.
Fortunately, another group are taking up the reins: REBECCA are whipping up a storm. We'll be hearing more soon, so stay tuned.
Don't forget to keep your eye on ROCK IDOLS. You can access their site directly from our links page.
Keep checking out the site though. New goodies include THE BAD ROBOTS bio and mp3, a band section and calender...
2005-11-14:
2 words: BEN LARSEN (all hail oh bearded birthday boy!). As usual, our hero (Ben)
has been hard at work scrapping the acoustic act and dabbling in the 'plugged-up to the tilt' scene! He currently has 2 fine
bands: THE BAD ROBOTS and BULLET TOOTH. Watch this space
for more info...
2005-11-09:
This site is currently under going a face-lift! Most pictures and audio clips will not be available as space is being
created for some new and more powerful material. Watch this space for new goodies from BEN LARSEN
and his new band(s), HOOCHICOO, FRAY, THREE CHORD THEORY
and the DEPTHS.
ROCK IDOLS is taking the university scene by storm, so watch out for info from top rocker and
Rock Idols creator, JONOTHAN STODDERN. There may even be some new bands to check out...
Thank you to all of you who still take the time to check out our site. Bare with us as we continue to make changes, learn
and build this site...

2005-10-17:
This Saturday the 22nd is the launch of Deep South's 'CHERRY' party at the Living Bar, Coldharbour
Lane, Brixton. CHERRY is their latest funky house night at the Living Bar. The usual suspects will be on the 1's and 2's,
but this time they'll be joined by guest DJ's Jerry and Ian from Pret A Ecouter, for that spanking Old Skool touch. Expect
some solid funky house and uplifting anthems, followed by the rougher, tougher stuff (once the tequilas start flowing!).
SAVE
YOUR MONEY! Email your details to leakingthoughts@gmail.com to be placed on our FREE guestlist for the CHERRY party. The entrance
fee is £7.00, but we must receive your details before Saturday, so mail us now and get in free of charge...! We've had
to remove one of our web pages to make space for reviews, so click on the 'reviews (part I)' button on the navigation bar
above. Here you'll find a humourous review on THE DEPTHS gig at the Purple Turtle (Camden Town) on John Peel Day, October
13th. Please take note that Dave's mobile number has changed. check out the CONTACTS page for the new number. 2005-09-22: If you have visited our site before, you will have noticed some serious changes, but no where near as serious as
they are going to be. Things are happening, slowly but surely. Ron has been working furiously both
at the BBC, and on acquiring an extension on his visa, whilst Dave has been working himself stupid. Keep your eye on our site, 'cos things are brewing. Make sure you check out the moves and grooves of our musical
friends, and take some time to check out the rock idols site, they're going places. While you're
there, have a listen to Hoochicoo. I've heard their latest material, and they rock! You
will soon find album reviews, including those demos that are slowly coming in. There's now a gallery
where you can find pics of the musicians and bands we support, along with a track of theirs. This site is growing, and we
want to thank all of you out there who support us, and the musicians and DJs we promote. Our site has been up for just under
a month and we have already had 700 visitors! Ta... Oh, one last thing:
we would like to thank Udo Muller for the use of his laptop, without which, the making of this site
would not have been possible. Thanks Udman! ___________________________________________________________
